Legal · Terms

Terms & Conditions.

Effective 02 Sep 2026 · Last updated 02 Sep 2026

These terms govern your use of this site and your enrollment in Guardian EMT courses. Read them before you enroll. If you do not agree with them, do not use the site or register for a class.

Section 01 · Parties

Who these terms are with

This site is operated by GUARDIAN EMT, INC., 2066 S 950 E, Suite B, Provo, UT 84606.

Section 02 · Enrollment

Enrollment and payment

  • Enrollment is confirmed when your seat deposit or full tuition is received, not when a form is submitted.
  • Tuition is the amount published on our pricing page at the time you enroll. Prices can change, but a change does not affect a seat you have already paid for.
  • Seats are limited and assigned in the order deposits are received.
  • Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Section 03 · Eligibility

Prerequisites and eligibility

Some courses have prerequisites — a current certification, a minimum age, a background check, a physical requirement. Confirming you meet them before enrolling is your responsibility. If you enroll without meeting one, we may move you to a later class or, where that is not possible, treat it as a withdrawal under the Refund Policy.

Certification and licensure can be affected by criminal history. Guardian EMT does not control those decisions and cannot guarantee any student will be granted certification or licensure.

Section 04 · What we promise

What we do and do not promise

We provide instruction. We do not issue certification or licensure. National certification is issued by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, and state licensure by the Utah Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. Both apply their own requirements, exams, and fees. Completing a Guardian EMT course makes you eligible to test; it does not certify you.

Our CPR, BLS, ACLS, and PALS courses follow American Heart Association curriculum, and cards are issued according to AHA requirements.

We do not guarantee employment. Statements about graduate outcomes, pass rates, or hiring describe past results and are not a promise about yours.

Section 05 · Conduct

Attendance and conduct

EMS training carries attendance requirements set by the agencies that approve our programs, not by us. Missing required hours can make you ineligible to complete the course, and missed hours may not be recoverable in the same cohort.

You agree to conduct yourself professionally toward instructors, classmates, patients, and clinical partners. We may remove a student for conduct that endangers safety, disrupts instruction, involves dishonesty in evaluations, or violates a clinical site's policies. Removal for cause is treated as a withdrawal as of the removal date under the Refund Policy.

Section 06 · Changes by us

Changes and cancellation by Guardian EMT

We may change an instructor, a room, a session date, or the sequence of course content. If we cancel a class outright and cannot place you in an equivalent one, you receive a full refund of everything paid for that class, deposit included.

Section 07 · Physical demands

Physical demands and assumption of risk

EMS training and CPAT preparation involve physical activity — lifting, carrying, kneeling, equipment handling. By enrolling you confirm you are physically able to participate or have arranged approved accommodations, and you assume the ordinary risks of physical training. Separate waivers may be required for skills labs, clinical rotations, and gym access.

Section 08 · Intellectual property

Website content and materials

All content on this site — text, images, layout, course materials, and the Guardian EMT name and marks — belongs to Guardian EMT or its licensors. You may view and print pages for your own use. You may not republish, sell, or commercially exploit our content without written permission.

Course materials provided during a class are for your personal study. Recording, redistributing, or reselling them is not permitted.

Section 09 · Acceptable use

Acceptable use

Do not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access to any system, scrape it at a volume that degrades service, or submit false information through its forms.

Section 10 · Third parties

Third-party services and links

Scheduling and payment are handled by third-party providers under their own terms. We link to other sites, including Guardian MedX. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any site we link to.

Section 11 · Accuracy

Accuracy of information

We work to keep class dates, prices, and course details current, and we correct errors when we find them. An obvious error — a price or date published in error — does not obligate us to honor it. We will contact you and offer a full refund rather than hold you to a mistake.

Section 12 · Liability

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

This website is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by Utah law, Guardian EMT disclaims implied warranties relating to the website itself, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of your use of this site or enrollment in a course is limited to the amount you paid us for the course in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost income or lost opportunity.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Utah law, including liability for personal injury caused by negligence.

Section 13 · Indemnification

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Guardian EMT against claims arising from your violation of these terms, your misuse of the site, or your conduct at a clinical or training site.

Section 14 · Governing law

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Utah County, Utah, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

Section 15 · Changes

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. The terms in effect on the day you enroll govern that enrollment.

Section 16 · Severability

If part of this is unenforceable

If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
