Which class do you need?

No prior experience for Heartsaver CPR or BLS; ACLS and PALS need a current BLS card and a healthcare-provider role. Every class is hands-on and tested in the room: BLS, ACLS, PALS and CPR certification for Utah County and the rest of Utah.

Who it's for: pediatric and ED nurses, NICU and PICU staff, physicians and PAs, paramedics, transport crews, and any clinician who treats children, including the EMT who gets the call for a sick infant.

Most CPR and BLS classes in Utah County are run by national operators who drop into a rented room for the afternoon. Guardian is a working EMS school in Provo; an ambulance in the bay, a skills floor, and instructors who teach these protocols because they run them on real calls.

Which class does my employer actually want?

If you work in healthcare: nursing, dental, EMS, a clinic or hospital role, it's almost always BLS Provider. If you need CPR for a non-clinical job, a coaching or childcare role, or a licence requirement, it's Heartsaver CPR/AED + First Aid. Not sure? My card already expired. What now?

Come to the full class. We currently run every AHA course in its complete form rather than a shortened update, so a lapsed card isn't a problem; you'll sit the same class as a first-timer and walk out certified.

How fast do I get my card?

The same day in almost every case. Evening classes receive cards within 24 hours, because the paperwork goes out the next morning. No waiting a week for something to arrive in the post.

What do I need to bring?

Yourself. Book and pay online to hold your seat, that's the whole preparation. Equipment, manikins, and course materials are all here waiting at our Provo campus.
