Your $250 deposit holds your seat and is not refunded. Everything you have paid beyond it comes back in full any time before your class starts. Once the first day begins, your seat is committed.
This policy applies to the EMT Basic and Advanced EMT career programs. Certification courses — CPR, BLS, ACLS, PALS — and CPAT prep are covered in Section 06.
Enrollment in EMT Basic and Advanced EMT requires a $250 deposit. It applies toward your tuition — it is not an extra charge on top of it.
The deposit is non-refundable. It holds a seat in a cohort with limited places, one we then cannot offer to another student. That is what it is for, and it is why it does not come back.
There is no registration fee, no application fee, and no administrative charge on top of the deposit.
Any time before the first day of class, you may withdraw and receive a full refund of all tuition you have paid beyond the $250 deposit.
No reason is required and no penalty applies. If you have paid tuition in full, you get all of it back except the deposit.
Tuition is not refundable on or after the first day of class. Once instruction begins, your seat, your materials, and your place in the clinical schedule are committed for the length of the program.
We are telling you this plainly and in advance so it is never a surprise. If you have any doubt about your schedule, your finances, or your ability to commit to the full program, withdraw before the first day — that is when the decision costs you the least.
If something serious happens mid-program, talk to us. We cannot promise a refund and this policy does not create a right to one, but we would rather hear from you than have you disappear.
Send a written withdrawal request to info@guardianemt.com, or deliver it to our Provo campus. Include your name, the course, and the cohort start date.
Your withdrawal date is the date we receive your request. To qualify for a tuition refund under Section 03, we must receive it before the first day of class.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 30 days of the withdrawal date.
CPR, BLS, ACLS, and PALS are single-session classes, paid in full at registration, with no deposit. Withdraw before the session begins and your fee is refunded in full. Once the session has started, the fee is not refundable, and a no-show is treated as a session attended.
CPAT prep follows the same rule as the career programs: the deposit is not refundable, the balance is refundable in full before the first session, and nothing is refundable once the course has begun.
If Guardian EMT cancels a class and cannot place you in an equivalent cohort, you receive a full refund of everything you have paid, the $250 deposit included. This applies whether or not instruction had begun. When the cancellation is ours, the deposit rule does not apply to you.
A student removed from a course for conduct is treated as having withdrawn on the removal date. If that date is on or after the first day of class, Section 04 applies and tuition is not refunded.
If you are using VA education benefits, the terms of your benefit program apply alongside this policy, and any amount owed back to the VA is handled under VA rules. Talk to us before you withdraw so we can walk through what it means for your benefit.
If an employer, agency, or workforce program paid your tuition, refunds go back to whoever paid, not to the student, unless that sponsor directs otherwise in writing.
If you are unsure whether a class is the right fit, ask before you pay. We would rather talk you into the right cohort than have you lose a deposit on the wrong one.
