What Guardian EMT collects when you use this site or enroll in a course, why we collect it, and what we do with it. Plain language, no boilerplate you need a lawyer to parse.
Section 01 · Who we are
Who we are
Guardian EMT is a private emergency medical training school at 2066 S 950 E, Suite B, Provo, UT 84606. Reach us at (801) 332-0012 or info@guardianemt.com.
In this policy, "we," "us," and "Guardian EMT" refer to CONFIRM: registered legal entity name. "You" refers to anyone using this site or enrolling in our courses.
Section 02 · Collection
What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details — name, email, phone, when you submit a form, request information, or enroll.
- Enrollment details — the course and class date you select, the package you choose, and any prerequisite or eligibility information the program requires.
- Payment information — handled by our payment processor. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
- Anything you write to us — emails, form messages, voicemails.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, time on site, referring site, general location inferred from IP.
- Device data — browser, operating system, screen size.
- Cookies — small files that keep the site working and show us how it is used.
Before publishing
CONFIRM: which of these actually run, then delete the rest — Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Meta Pixel, any advertising or heat-mapping tool. Naming a tool you do not use is as much of a problem as omitting one you do.
Section 03 · Purpose
Why we collect it
- To register you for a class and hold your seat.
- To send you class information — start dates, location, what to bring, schedule changes.
- To answer questions you ask us.
- To process payments and keep accurate financial records.
- To meet recordkeeping obligations that apply to EMS training programs.
- To understand which parts of the site are useful and improve them.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions about your eligibility, and we do not build advertising profiles from enrollment records.
Section 04 · Scheduling & payments
Scheduling and payments
Class scheduling and seat reservation are handled by a third-party booking system. What you enter when you reserve a seat is stored there so we can manage the roster.
Payments are processed by CONFIRM: payment processor name, which handles card details directly under its own terms. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the amount — not your card number.
Section 05 · Disclosure
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers — booking system, payment processor, email provider, website host, each only as far as their job requires.
- Certifying and regulatory bodies — where a course leads to certification, we submit the records those bodies require.
- When the law requires it — a valid legal request, or to protect the safety of a student, our staff, or the public.
- Employers or sponsors — only when your training is paid for by an employer or agency, and only what that sponsorship requires.
Section 06 · Retention
Student records
Course completion records, skills evaluations, and certification documentation are kept for the period required by the agencies governing EMS education and certification in Utah. These records exist so your certification can be verified years later, which is a benefit to you.
Section 07 · Your rights
Your choices
- Ask what we hold. Email us and we will tell you.
- Correct it. If something is wrong, tell us and we fix it.
- Ask us to delete it. We will, except where we are required to keep a record — certification and financial records are the usual exceptions.
- Stop hearing from us. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Messages about a class you are enrolled in are operational, not marketing, and continue while you are enrolled.
- Control cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some will break parts of the site.
Section 08 · Security
How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections across the site and restricted access to student records. No system is perfectly secure and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.
Section 09 · Age
Age
This site is intended for adults. Our programs have a minimum enrollment age of CONFIRM: minimum age, and whether under-18 students are accepted with parental consent. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Section 10 · Third parties
Other sites
This site links out, including to Guardian MedX and to mapping and social platforms. Once you follow a link off this site, this policy no longer applies, and we are not responsible for how those sites handle your information.
Section 11 · Changes
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. Material changes are communicated to enrolled students directly. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
